I think the most screwed up thing about the Blue Planet is our system of measurement. Fuck the metric system, here is my solution:
1) Time should not be measured by a clock. Whoever thinks that time is a mechanism hanging on your wall should try living without it, it still goes on. Instead, try measuring time in songs, teaspoons, laughs, or sobs, maybe yawns. Imagine saying “I have to go to work in a Led Zeppelin IV” haha, that would be fun.
2) Our measure of how good the music is has to go. We calculate the quality of a song basing it on how many copies it sold, or how may times the radio station played it. Try saying “I will go beyond what the others have to tell me”, opinionate yourself, it doesn’t hurt. After all, the DJ’s who decide to put a song on air, do it based on opinion.
3) Now distance, nah fuck it, if you are patient enough you won’t give a shit.
4) Love. You don’t measure how much you love someone by how much stuff they give you, you measure it by how much stuff YOU give them.
5) If it hurts your ears, then its loud
